Did I really let six months pass?? :)~
Ok, where is that person who's supposed to be whipping me into shape?! I have let six mos pass w/ no blog. Imagine all the deets of my funny baby I've neglected to record!! Oy!
Well, we moved back to the Midwest. We are so glad to be back home. And as if I needed some reassurance that I'd made the right decision, my baby helped me out there. After the 12-hr drive in the U-Haul w/ my loyal & trusty pal Karen at the wheel, we pulled into our old house and an exhausted Anna exclaimed, "Oh!! We're HOME!!!" Any doubts I had were immediately quashed. Thank you for extinguishing the impending Mommy Guilt there, Anna-belle :)
That was March, and now this is June. Where are we now? Well, we tried our hand at gardening, even though my buddy Emily insisted it'd be a huge PITA, I'd loathe it, it'd make me a bitter person, etc. Well, as always, Emily was right. She really should write a book. The garden lasted all of a week and now I'm avoiding it like the plague. And Anna hasn't asked about it.

And perhaps to drive my point home, here's a proud Anna showing me how well she could "dig wif her shubble!"

The most current obsession we have is the FARM. Any ole farm will do, but one of her faves is her buddy Jackson's farm. They have myriad animals from horses to chickens to goats and even some I do not recognize.

Anna had her very first face-plant right into the gravel drive. It was harder on me than her, I promise you that. She was brave as I plucked the bits of gravel from her forehead. She was proud of the boo-boo it left behind - she DIGS boo-boos.

As I type, this boo-boo is LONG gone, but the memory is still very fresh. She'll point it out to anyone and everyone and insist that she has a "Major Boo-Boo" on her head. Boo-boos have a scale of severity around here. Any teensy weensy boo-boo, such as a scrape is a MAJOR BOO-BOO. And a huge boo-boo that nearly warrants amputation is referred to as a MAAAAAJOR BOO-BOO.
Anna turned 3 years old in mid-May. Where have these three years gone? They've been an amazing ride, that's for sure. She had a *very* small, low-key party at GaGa & PawPaw's house. She prefers as little fuss as possible, and I'm certain we achieved that :-) She had a Bob The Builder theme (no surprise there) complete w/ a dumptruck cake. Thumbsup to this cake for its tastieness and economical-ness :)

We went to visit our buddies Emily, Sophie & Nicholas in suburban Chicago for a few days following her birthday. Below you will see my child learning how to *work a man*, as her Auntie Medusa puts it:

I will get better at this blogging sitch. Stay tuned :o)
